RICHMOND COMMUNITY SCHOOLS
“We R Richmond”
The core of Richmond Community Schools is community. Our students and the surrounding community are reciprocal in helping each other grow and improve. Within our schools, smaller communities of diversity, academic courses, sports programs and social awareness come together to create one large community. By incorporating these strengths, everyone can be successful in learning and preparing for the future.

ACADEMICS
At the elementary level, we start a push for literacy. We work to strengthen our curriculum to fit every students’ needs, from 14 AP courses and Gifted & Talent program to life skills classes.
COMMUNITY-FOCUSED
We are very community driven and community involved. Our high school is home to the Richmond Art Museum (the only public museum housed in a school in the country) and Civic Hall, home to the Richmond Symphony Orchestra.
STUDENT ACTIVITIES
We have an active and rich participation in extracurricular activities and athletics. Our high school gym is the 4th largest gym in the country.
TECHNOLOGY
Technology is 1:1 for grades 5-12 and 1:2 for grades K-4. We also offer an Online Learning program.
SAFETY AND SECURITY
Safety is a priority in our district with buzzed entries, software checks for visitors, and weekly meetings with our school resource officers. Every school has a safety specialist and we work to address any bullying complaints swiftly.
